

WARE Prep Academy faculty presently employed holds a bachelor's degree and two have a Masters degree. The Executive Director has Ph.D. degree with fifteen plus years of educational and curriculum development at the collegiate level. A qualified instructor at WARE Prep Academy must not only maintain educational qualifications, instructors must exhibit the desire, and the ability to teach and work with students in small groups, and individual tutoring sessions. WARE Prep Academy faculty will be responsible for classroom instruction, and colloquiums.

Dr. Mamie Ware is the Chief Executive Officer for WARE Prep Academy of Atlanta where Wisdom, Achievement, Responsibility and Education serve as the foundation for the school. Her Ph.D., Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees are from the present Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, GA. . Before finishing the requirements for the MS, a teaching position was offered to her. She enjoyed the environment so much she stayed for almost 20 years. During that time she developed laboratories and class demonstrations, for Microbiology, Pathology and Physiology classes, developed a faculty manual, wrote and received funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH). Dr. Ware served as the Dean for Undergraduate College at Life University where under her leadership the Undergraduate school in Business Administration, Nutrition, Nutrition for Dietetics, Biology and Computer Information Technology were developed, implemented and received regional and state accreditation. In addition to many years of classroom instruction her administrative experience includes curriculum development, grant writing, writing substantive changes for new programs, self-study and various accreditation documents for state and regional accreditation. Her belief is that every student has the ability to learn providing they have the desire, discipline and determination and the teacher has the ability to nourish, inspire, and champion the student in an environment that is conducive for leaning. These two combined will foster our students as they continue their Educational Journey.

R. Greg Ware is an Indiana native, whom has resided in the Atlanta, GA area for the last 17 years. He is an Indiana University graduate earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration, and he earned a Masters of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Ware's business acumen consists of numerous years of successful business ventures as an entrepreneur. During this time, Mr. Ware gained invaluable business experience in general management, marketing, operations, customer service, sales, public relations, training, and team leadership. Currently, Mr. Ware is a Ph.D. learner at Capella University, majoring in organization and management, specializing in leadership. Mr. Ware enjoys jazz music, all sports, family life, and encouraging into believing in themselves. Mr. Ware is an active member of the Allen Temple AME Church with his wife and daughter in Woodstock, GA.

LaShunda received a B.A. degree in Communication from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2003. While at UL Lafayette, she gained experience in marketing and program creation and implementation as an employee of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association. She also served two years as the president of the Theta Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.. Upon graduation, Ms. Walker worked in the public school system before becoming the Marketing Manager at a nonprofit educational folklife and heritage center in Lafayette. During this time she gained valuable experience in marketing, public reations, advertising, and event planning. Upon her move to Georgia, LaShunda joined the faculty and staff of North Atlanta Preparatory Academy as an English teacher.

Darrell Harris is from Toledo, Ohio, where he graduated from Toledo Scott High and received a baseball scholarship to Bishop in Dallas, Texas. After spending a year there he then transferred to Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, and a minor in Finance. Upon leaving college he worked for IBM where he retired in 1994. Being an entrepreneur, he launched a very successful career as a mortgage broker and became the president of various business organizations.
Also, while operating his mortgage business, he coached AAU basketball for 13 years, and sent 30 boys to college on “full-ride” scholarships. Darrell is the athletic director at Ware Prep Academy where again he used his business acumen in helping our kids to become better athletes and young men. In 2008, he secured 12 scholarships for various players. With his expertise, he will continue to drive our athletic program to new heights, and the never ending resolve to be the very best prep school in the nation.

Coach Lundy kicks off his first season as Head Coach for WARE Prep Academy Raiders and looks to bring a winning tradition to the program.
Coach Lundy has had an extensive basketball career both on and off the court. His coaching debut occurred during the 2000-2001 season as an Assistant Coach for the Life University Running Eagles. Lundy has a special relationship with Life University as he himself was a Running Eagle from 1994 through 1996 under Coaches Roger Kaiser and John Barrett. During his two seasons as a player, the Running Eagles compiled an impressive 62-9 record leading to two consecutive appearances at the NAIA nationals. Coach Lundy, a starter his senior year, set school records by completing the first ever triple-double in Life University history and by setting the single game assist record with 16 assists against Kennesaw State University.
Prior to attending Life, Coach Lundy was a starter for two seasons ('92-'94) at Indian River Community College under Coach Mike Leatherwood. There he helped lead the Pioneers to the Junior College nationals and the Treasure Coast Conference championship.
Coach Lundy received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Project Management from Life University in 1999. He resides in Smyrna, Georgia with his two children - Najah (4) and Knyle (2).
